Mirabai Holland M.F.A., CHC, EP-C is one of the leading authorities in the Health & Fitness Industry and a public health advocate who specializes in preventive and rehabilitative wellness programs. She has implemented her fitness and lifestyle programs in hospitals, government agencies, fitness facilities, community centers and corporations worldwide.

She served four years as chairperson of the American Council On Exercise (ACE) Exercise Instructor Examination Committee and Examiner and lecturer for the American College of Medicine. 

she has worked with numerous MDs, to develop wellness lifestyle protocols addressing various population health issues and has counseled thousands of clients.  These include the first Women’s heart exercise protocol for Lenox Hill Hospital’s (NYC) Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II Program, Flomotion™ cancer exercise protocol, 92nd Street Y (NYC), Skeletal Fitness®-A Workout For Your Bones, 1st Osteoporosis Prevention Exercise Class in the USA, and Rutgers University College of Nursing exercise program for Coronary Heart Disease At-Risk Minority Women & Children, congestive heart failure exercise protocol for visiting nurses (NYC) and created and implemented the Lose To Win™ Weight Management Program taught at the Longboat Key Club, Longboat Key Government, Paradise Center and Bayfront Rec Center, LBK.

Mirabai also created and implemented the Health Coaching Program for Manatee Your Choice self-funded Health Plan for Manatee County 7000 Government Employees: Diabetes, Cardiac Health, Hypertension, Metabolic Syndrome, Cancer, Depression, Elevated BMI, Weight Loss and Nutrition, Smoking Cessation, Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Autoimmune Issues, Bariatric, Orthopedic Issues, Asthma & Memory Issues.

She served as a consultant for Neuro Challenge Foundation, Inc. (Sarasota, FL), and wrote the Pedaling With Parkinson’s (PwP™) Training Manual, & certification course for Neuro Challenge Foundation (FL). She has certified several health and fitness professionals that are now instructing the PWP™ program at Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Health Fit  facility.

Mirabai is a Contributor to the National Arthritis Foundation’s PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) manual.

And designed the first Osteoporosis Prevention Exercise Class in the USA, Skeletal Fitness®- A Workout For Your Bones.

She served as Consultant and Director of Fitness and Wellness Programs at the 92nd Street Y in NYC for 16 years. 

Mirabai has made numerous TV & Radio appearances as a Health & Fitness expert including the Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Nightly News, NBC News, CNN, New York 1, Fox News, and a Nationally Syndicated Women’s Health Series produced by ABC, and Doctor Radio. She is the creator of several home exercise videos that are Customer Top Rated on QVC and Amazon.

As a free-lance journalist for the Huffington Post, New York Times, Today’s Diet And Nutrition, First For Women, Health Monitor.  Sharecare, and trade magazines like IDEA Today, Metro Sports, Club Industry and Fitness Management; Holland’s writing has reached over 20 million readers. Her syndicated Women Fitness & Health column appears in several print and web publications.

She has been a speaker at major health and fitness organizations and corporations including Forbes, Time Warner, American Heart Association, National Wellness Association, Helen Hayes Hospital, National Arthritis Foundation, United Nations, Medical Fitness Association, NIKE Women’s’ Symposium, The  Body & Medicine and Women’s Health Symposium, 92nd Street Y in New York City.

She is an active volunteer for health organizations including the National Osteoporosis Foundation, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and sat on the committee on Preventive Cardiology and the Women’s Heart Initiative.

Mirabai is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Health Coach & Exercise Leader  and a Certified Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Leader by the American College of Sports Medicine,  Certified Aquatics Instructor by the Aquatic Exercise Association, Johnny G Spinning Certified Instructor, and is a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist by the American Academy of Health and Fitness Professionals. She holds a BA in Education, University of Denver and an MFA, New York University.
